| Truck is gone |

We sold the truck this morning. There were like 40 people interested in it. hehe. Some random guy showed up this morning asking about it and we didn't even say where we lived. Apparently he lived in the neighborhood and recognized the truck. It was annoying cause we were in the middle of putting eric's old stereo into leila's car. The radio didn't really fit in leila's car. We had to rig it so it'd open. Hopefully this makes us better prepared to put a sub in the scion. :-)
Leila is letting me put a sub in the new car. There was an option to get a bazooka with the scion and most people thought it sucked so we went crazy at crutchfield instead. We don't have the car or the order from crutchfield so i'm dying with anticipation.

| Merry Christmas |

Happy holidays! Hope everybody is doing great. I wish there was more news for Eric's sake. It doesn't seem much like christmas with it being 70 degrees and all. But I can't complain. :-)
Leila and I are spending christmas with my parents. Conan is with us too. They're going to take care of her for a week while leila and I are out in WA. They said they wanted to find out if they really wanted a dog. I told them Conan wasn't the best example.
Anyway I'm really excited about going to WA next week. |

| Texas Fun |

I took Conan out on Saturday night with no shoes on and got attacked by fire ants. :-) Got like 7 bites and hives. Then started swelling up. I start checking for things to do on web md. I'm reading all the symptoms I'm getting and then it said going into shock was possible. After reading this I can't seem to find the home remedies they say they have. I'm a little concerned at this point so I figured I better wake Leila up to see if she can figure out what to do. She says she's sorry and rolls over and goes back to sleep. (she says she doesn't remember any of this too!) Anyway I return to playing WoW to take my mind of the pain of the bites and insane itchiness of the hives.

| New Conan Pictures |

I'm taking a quick break from World of Warcraft to share some pictures of Conan. By the way my Rogue Serrana is now lvl 33. :-)
I've actually been up to more than playing WoW but not much more. Work is pretty interesting these days though I have no clue what's going on. I got trapped into coming in at 5am tomorrow to get trained how to index files (data entry). I wish they would pay me more so they couldn't afford to waste my time with this crap. Anyway...
I'm going to see Weezer and the Foo Fighters on wednesday. It's going to rock. Going with with Shaun, Marisa and Andre. Leila decided I lack taste in music refused to attend. To be fare there are plenty of shows I wouldn't go see with her.
I finished building my desk. Leila should be posting pictures of the house and my desk soon. Building the desk accomplished two goals. One was to be big enough so I could have dual monitors and the other was an excuse to use the nail gun I got for my birthday. It rocks. Thanks Mom and Ron. I should also mention Thanks Leila for the monitor, Thanks Anson and Rachel for WoW, and Thanks Shaun for the Weezer concert ticket. Life might be boring with out birthdays. ;-)

| New Position at Neubus |

The house has made us really busy. We’re still in the middle of painting right now but our stuff is all moved in.
I got a new position at work. The title is processor and it means I look at a lot of images. Eric said I’m truly a cog in the machine hehe which is pretty true. I found out today I’m going to start testing half the time next week. It should be interesting. The best thing about the new position is it’s back at Neubus which is only .7 miles away.
I love our neighborhood. There is a park right next to our house that has a great path. I think the path leads to Walnut Creek park which has six miles of trails but I haven’t checked it out yet. There are only so many pleasant hours of daylight to be outside.
Leila, Shaun and I are going on two trips soon. One is camping on Mustang Island which is near Corpus Christi. Then on Labor Day we’re going to Phoenix to get an InandOut burger.
Conan is doing well. She loves the yard. The kitchen window is at eye level so she’s able to keep an eye on the neighborhood.
I hope to put up some pictures of the house soon. |

Yay we got the house today. Guess I'll have yard work to do soon. Leila and I also got a washer, dryer, and fridge. Only appliance left is a dishwasher which I'm thinking about putting off for a while. Does anybody know if a washer can leak oil? We bought a used one and then there was oil all over the back of the truck when I got the washer home.
Shawn my friend from work is my Hero for helping move crap all evening. We took him out to dinner and he picked this excellent chinese place that's at an old diner. nice huh? The food was great.
I'm flying to Orlando the day after tomorrow. I can't wait! It's going to be terrific. |

Leila and I saw Batman Begins last night. It was definitely a terrific movie. Leila was very skeptical but said for an action movie it was pretty good. :-)
Yesterday my cube mate accidentally told off our boss. You may ask how one accidentally tells off their boss. He decided to call some girl and go on a 30 second rant of profanity to before actually listening to the person on the phone. It turns out this girl’s number was next to our boss’s number and he called the wrong one. Anyway either he was lucky cause our boss didn’t come in that day and will cool off or she has no real power and can’t fire any one. Guess I’ll find out on Monday. This job could be way more boring with out my cube mate and his episodes.

| All In |

I played poker yesterday with two guys from work, Shawn and Daniel. It was my first time playing a real poker game. It was at this Irish pub called Fado’s which I liked a lot. Anyway they had five tables and I made it to the final table. I think I finished eighth and knocked out like six people. It was great after playing the first table carrying three racks of chips to the next table. It really shocked the hell out of Shawn and Daniel and I’m pretty sure Daniel thought I was hustling them. Hehe I ended up qualifying for a final tournament which sounds pretty cool cause they have some neat prizes like a trip to Vegas.
Our house was inspected today. There are a few things we need to fix but nothing really major. So that’s one more step out of the way to keep us from being homeless in August. :-)
Leila and I are having disagreement on where to put the elliptical. She wants it in the living room so there’s more space and I want it in the office/game room so it’s out of the way. Does anybody else have an opinion? |

| Moving soon |

Leila being the diligent person she is has already started packing. Our cd and dvd racks are very barren. I think we're going to try and get by with only using my truck and her car to move. We're probably going to regret not getting a uhaul. We close on the 21st and still have the apartment till the end of july so we do have plenty of time. Leila will be going to New Mexico and Hawaii and I'm going to Orlando. She's like "can you move some stuff while I'm gone." :-) hehe
We got a tv yesterday and we put it right next to the old tv. :-) There was way too much conflict between halo and tivo watching. |

| New Home |

We accepted the home owners counter offer so it looks like we're getting the house. I'm really excited about it. I've told the Tivo to tape all the home and garden shows it can. :-) This is how I prepared for owning a dog too, by telling the Tivo to tape dog tv shows. The only thing I've figured out so far about home projects is I need more money. ;-)
I'm getting new glasses soon. Leila says she's going to post pictures to get everybodies opnion about them. It's too bad Donna won't be around to help pick them out again. ( tell me what you think of these ) |

Leila and I made our first offer on a house today. It's pretty exciting. The house wasn't even one we planned to look at today though it was down the street from one. It's super nice and has everything we were looking for. Conan will be so happy. :-)

| New Stuff |

I guess it's been forever since I've posted anything. I started working a new job last week. I thought I was going to do data entry but it turns out I'm a file clerk. I'm thinking about inventing relativity II. A file clerk must be similar to a patent clerk. The job is ok. The people are pretty cool and there is no stress. :-) The number one perk is I don't have to work at Borders.
My car got broken into the other day and they took my radio. I feel stupid for getting lazy about taking the face plate off. Oh well. I'm going to stop locking my doors I don't have to pay to replace anymore windows.
Leila and I are looking into getting a house. We've found one we like a lot. It's in a nice neighborhood but its definitely the shack on the block. :-) The yard is really big and I think Conan is really looking forward to it.
I'm taking shots now instead of just pills for my diabetes. It's not as horrible as I thought it would be. It's pretty annoying need an injection every time I want to eat or sleep. They're talking about putting me on a pump so besides being cyborg it should improve things.
Next month I'm going to Orlando to see Mark's wedding. He made me a groomsman which is pretty cool. I still need to get measured for a tux. uggg Any recommendations for things to do in Orlando? Eric already thought of going to Cape Canaveral which sounds pretty neat. |

Yay I finally have a new job that envolves a computer. I guess it's not ideal money wise but maybe I can move up from here.
Leila is busy playing psychonaughts. It probably would have been smarter to get her the game after her finals. :-)
I guess everything is going ok. We're probably going to start looking for houses soon. I think Conan is really excited about having a yard. :-) |

| Job Progress |

Well I finally received my background check back from WA and I'm going to deliver it to Neubus on Monday. Then all I need is to get my background check from Maryland. All this waiting around makes me want to quit Borders more and more.
I'm still using our elliptical machine. Everybody seems to keep asking me if I am.
Jade Empire comes out this week. I'm excited about that. I did the preorder thing so I could get one of the extra characters. I feel like a sucker but I guess I would have ordered it anyway.
I'm trying to put together workout playlists. If anybody could recommend some songs that would be great.
My current plan for going to Mark's wedding is talking Eric into flying to Austin and then having a terrific road trip to orlando. I'm not sure I've done a decent job convincing him. I told him he could have steak in texas and finish with seafood in florida. :-) He said he has a lot of work stuff going on around then so he won't be able to get much time off. I'm thinking about driving there myself since it's cheaper than flying but it doesn't seem like the smartest idea.

| It's been a while... |

Leila and I got an elliptical machine yesterday. I worked out on it once and it was sweet. Almost as good as a gym model in my opinion. It also folds up which is great for our dinky appartment. We seriously don't have space for anything else.
I'm still working on getting a new job as a tester. I have horrible luck with government departments like MVA and Public Safety. Maryland sent back my background check request saying I need to add more information and provided a form. This would have been good to have on their website. Anyway it's probably going to take them another three weeks. I'm slightly worried this company will discover my incompetence before they hire me. ;-)
My friend Mark got engaged and is getting married in June. Leila and I are planning on making an insane trip to Orlando, Florida and back in just three days. |
